Had the privilege of being a part of the Documentary, Black and Write, A Southern Gurl Production by C.Mikki.
I'm still on a high from this. Just left the Black Woman Film Network premier of a new Documentary. First of all, I just love it anytime I go to Spelman Campus, plus the opportunity to share spoken word with a new audience, and meet creative people.
Had the privilege of being a part of the Documentary, Black and Write, A Southern Gurl Production by C.Mikki.
The cast includes industry professionals like Author/Publisher Zane Strebor, Actor/Director/Producer Eriq La Salle (ER), Television Executive Producer Bentley Kyle Evans, Screenwriter/Author Antwone Fisher, Award- winning author Reshonda Tate-Billingsley, and Award Winning Spoken Word Artist, Jamillah “Lady J” Warner (well, that's me guys and I'm tickled) plus many, many more dynamic writers.
Honored to be a part of C.Mikki's first documentary (Excellent job out the gate Diva). In her own words,
The story of the African-American writer is an important one, but one that is often voiceless. The award-winning documentary, “’Black and Write’: An Inside Look at the African-American Writing Experience” is a groundbreaking Documentary,” Providing an insightful look into the lives and struggles of contemporary, self-published, African-American writers.”
If you're Black and Write, then check it out. (FYI: you can catch me at 8:18, 18:17, 47:30…just in case you wanted to know)
