Desire is just the beginning. It’s what you do with it that creates an amazing life.
As a child I wanted to be all kinds of things — a doctor, a lawyer, a secretary, an entrepreneur, a botanists, a writer, a singer, a dancer.
But it’s the desire that you feed that becomes your passion. And it’s the passion that drives a dream from your mind into reality. But first you have to catch fire.
Desire is the miracle,”
says Mike Murdock, author of The Uncommon Dream,
fuel it…and it will become an obsession.”
And whatever receives your greatest focus receives the strongest outcome in your life.
Focus Makes Fire
You can pour into your children, your husband or you can focus on your enemies and why they don’t like you. You can focus on the fake friends and why they let you down.
You can focus on the family members who don’t get or understand you. Or you can shift your focus from obsessing over yesterday to pouring that energy into your God-guided dreams. Your choice.
But remember, much like the sun beaming through a magnifying glass, Focus. Makes. Fire.
Spoken Word Matters
What you say can cause you to catch fire. In fact, if you change your language you can change your life. It’s a simple formula,
death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov 18:21)”
and it’s up to you to choose living words in order to create a different future from the inside out.
If you intend to catch fire, then you better start with the match on your tongue. Since that mouth can set relationships, opportunities and families on edge, why not use it to light a fire under your dream? Just saying, if we want a different outcome, we’ll have to make different choices.
Start with the words you speak.
It think I’m obsessed with this, but it’s true. The spoken word is everything to the life you have now and the one you’re trying to build. Guide your tongue carefully. Make sure she’s helping and hurting, because a focused tongue is going to set something on fire. So make sure it’s the words you need to hear and the life you want to live.
