Not a mistake. But sometimes she still needs a reminder of who she really is and why it matters so much for her to pray
where does her glow come from?

when she started…
praying for boldness and courage it felt like it wasn’t working. I mean, lightening didn’t strike across an empty sky. And the earth didn’t rattle. Even a little thunder would have made it feel more epic. But, nothing? Nothing major happened.
At least not that she could see. So she prayed again. And again. And again. And she wondered if maybe her voice was broken. Maybe God was in the business of answering everyone’s prayers except for hers. So, she stopped praying for a while. Have you ever been there before?
praying for boldness and courage
is not about how loud you speak. According to Elijah, God can be found in the quiet whispers (1KINGS 19:11-13 NIV). And since I am made in his image, I can whisper a bold prayer and still make a difference. And so can you.
Your boldness, and true confidence, is not found in how beautiful your words are. In fact, you could stumble your way through every syllable and still make a difference.
The power in your prayer, however, is shaped by your connection to God — and the condition of your heart.
she discovered a superpower
The closer she was to God, the more power she found in her prayers. So, she decided to try again. But this time when she started praying for boldness and courage, she picked out a short scripture. She read it to herself. And then, she let those words become her words. Those words became her prayers.
They looked to him and were radiant and their faces were not ashamed (Ps 34:5)”
I look to you
in every promise
of hope and of healing.
I look to you. And thank you
for shining bright on me, through me
and in-spite of me. Shower me
with all the courage
And she continued to pray. And pray. And pray. Hundreds of short prayers for confidence throughout the day. If you want to hear two of my favorite scriptures to pray, then watch the confidence prayer video above.
