It’s Valentine’s Day
Woke up this morning and forgot the day until I heard the words, Happy Valentines. Well, I am happy. Happy to be stronger with my workouts, and healthier with my eating, and bolder with my dreams. It’s weird because I’ve had a handful of challenging months. Wait, no, I’ve had a handful of challenging years. And every time joy finds me in the middle of a mess, I know that love is the reason why. It just comes in different packages. And the gift is knowing what kind of love you need today.
I need…
I need God’s love daily. I should say nightly, because lately…that's the love the meets me. In a puddle of tears in the middle of dark nights I wake up to echoes and reminders that she’s gone. She’s gone. She’s gone. She’s gone. And no matter how I beg mom to return, she is NOT coming back. She’s gone.
But thank God there are these quiet whispers saying things to me. Reminding me that no matter what happens
you will be ok…you are not alone…I am here…rest…go ahead and cry”
